At recircular we have developed our own methodology for measuring the specific impact of waste recovery. We measure the impact generated by the valorisation of resources compared to the previous treatment, as well as the impact generated by the substitution of virgin raw materials, taking into account the transport and the intermediate processes necessary to adapt the resource to a second life.

Currently, we can measure indicators such as the reduction of equivalent CO2 emissions, reduction of water and energy consumption and the improvement of life expectancy in healthy conditions. Our objective is to have a calculation method based on the triple bottom line: economic, environmental and social, which is what we want to contribute to the companies we work with.

This methodology has been developed in collaboration with the Basque Ecodesign Hub, managed by Ihobe and IK Ingeniería.
